Ulster Bank Rewards / Permanent TSB GoRewards

Permanent TSB and Ulster Bank’s have cashback rewards for customers that have a debit or credit card with them. They all partner with Visa to give customers tailored offers at retailers. When the customer spends at the retailer, they receive cashback into their bank account.

What can I earn cashback on?

Once you've signed up, you can view the cashback offers available to you online. The offers are a percentage off at a shop or a fixed amount back. Recent sample Rewards offers partners included:

€5 back on a €50+ Dunnes Stores spend

5% back on spend at PrettyLittleThing

8% back on spend at Goddiva

Most offers – including the above – can be used only once, though the T&Cs will let you know if this changes.

You will receive an email notifying you when your cashback has arrived into your account. As per below you can see savings to date within your account:

Tips on how to get the most of Ulster Bank Rewards / PTSB GoRewards

  • If you have a debit and credit card with one of the banks you can increase your cashback by creating an account for each card. You will need two email addresses to do this. Earlier this year I got a €5 cashback on each card from Dunnes.

  • Try to double-up your offers. The below is an example of how I got €7.86 cashback on top of €49 saving I got using a discount code at Snapfish. You should be able to combine your Visa cashback with most other points or discount code based offers to increase your savings.

  • The cashback on the Visa Offers is based off the full purchase price including VAT – so 10% off €100 spend gets you €10 cashback. Other programmes tend to give you your rebate on the price before VAT.

How do I earn  PTSB GoRewards / Ulster Bank Rewards cashback?

To use a cashback offer you need to 'activate' it. You can do this by viewing the offers online. As long as you've seen it listed in your Visa Offers account, even if you haven't clicked on the full deal to check the T&Cs, it'll be activated.

Once an offer is activated, you'll automatically get it when you spend at the retailer. Each offer states if it is applicable to in-store or on a retailer's website. Cashback will then be automatically credited to the account registered to your card and is usually paid into your account in under a week.

How to sign up for PTSB / Ulster Bank cashback offers

You’ll receive an activation email with a PIN to enter and link to take you back to the activation page.

Create an account. You will need to add your card number to this account, so your bank knows which account to credit when you get cashback.
